BenQ has introduced two new LED-backlit monitors, the 24-inch V2400 (listed as the “world’s first 24-inch widescreen LED monitor”) and the 21.5-inch V2200. Both are good for showing HD 1080p content, and boasts of a high 5M:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
Both are tagged with the word “Eco” because of a power-saving eco mode that reduces power consumption by 30 percent by turning down the brightness on the LED backlit screens. Other green initiatives have been employed on the product’s packaging, using less paper, soy ink on the boxes, recycled paper instead of styrofoam, and a user manual that’s available online.
Both the V2200 and the V2400 is set to ship in China this month, with no word on availability for other markets.
