Stealth Computer has introduced a new notebook/ tablet PC under their Notebook Warrior of rugged portables called the NW-2000. Built for rugged outdoor use, the NW-2000 is designed to meet Military Standard MIL-810F specifications for withstanding shock and vibration with a magnesium alloy chassis and protected ports. IP54/ NEMA13-standard environmental protection also adds dust and water sprays.

The NW-2000 features a 13.3-inch widescreen display that’s touch-sensitive for supporting direct input with a finger or stylus, and is optimized for viewing under direct sunlight. It runs on a power-efficient 1.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ULV processor for longer up-times without needing a charge (up to 6 hours of battery life), and adds a 160GB removable hard drive that’s protected from shock. Connectivity options include Wi-fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and an optional HSDPA module for connecting while in the field. The standard configuration also includes 2GB of DDR2 memory, a DVD burner, and a fingerprint scanner.

Available now, the Stealth NW-2000’s price starts out at $4,895 and comes with multiple upgrade options.
