OCZ goes big with 1TB Colossus solid state drive

OCZ Technology officially announced details for the huge 3.5-inch 1TB Colossus solid state drive they unveiled during this year’s Computex. It falls under a new line of drives with a 3.5-inch form factor and a SATA II interface, and consists of a pair of drives connected in a RAID 0 configuration under the shell for read and write speeds of 250MB/s and 200MB/s.
It won’t be cheap though; the 1TB Colossus will be priced at $2,500 when it starts selling sometime this month. A smaller, cheaper 512GB model is also set to be released soon.
