LG has confirmed a few more details (as well as a few official photos) for its upcoming touch-based Chocolate-branded phone. Officially known as the BL40, the new mobile is dominated by a 4-inch wide (21:9) touch-sensitive display with an 800×345 resolution that supports a twin-view option for viewing two screens at once.
The slim mobile measures only 10.8mm thick, and will pack a 5-megapixel main cam with a LED flash, plus Wi-fi, GPS, and support for 3G data networks. Not much else is known about the upcoming phone, but as a member of LG’s Chocolate line, multimedia playback should play a big part of this phone, and the cinema wide-aspect ratio definitely helps it along for comfortably watching movies.
The official announcement should come within the month, and it’s scheduled to be released within the third quarter of 2009 worldwide.
