Alienware has added a new special edition Nebula Red body color option for its M17x notebook. Previously only available in either Space Black or Lunar Silver, the new special edition color will still be applied to the original anodized aluminum frame.
The M17x is a pretty bulky machine, with a 17-inch widescreen display, but matches the bulk with a very powerful spec. Options include processors that range from Intel Core 2 Duo and Quad processors to a Core 2 Extreme Quad, up to 8GBs of DDR3 memory, and graphics options that includes single or dual GeForce GTX 260M GPUs or dual GTX 280M GPUs on an SLI configuration. Storage options also include 7200rpm hard drives up to 500GB, or SSDs of up to 256GB capacity.
The Nebula Red color adds $99 to the original’s $1799 starting price. The minimum configuration is fitted with a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 4GBs of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, DVD combo drive, and GeForce GTX 260 graphics.
