AT&T has launched two very different phones from Sony Ericsson – the C905a Cyber-shot candybar slider and the W518a Walkman clamshell. The C905a’s photography-focused, with an 8.1-megapixel camera plus face detection, autofocus, xenon flash, red-eye reduction and GPS tagging features. The W518a Walkman on the other hand, is filled with social and entertainment features – instant Facebook, conversational messaging, music shake control and music downloads from AT&T Music.
The C905a Cyber-shot also has a BestPic feature that takes several shots and chooses the best shots automatically. Smart Contrast adjusts pictures automatically as well. This 3G phone will take up to 16GB Memory Stick Micro cards, has Bluetooth, and will cost you $179.99 after a mail-in rebate and two-year contract.
In addition to its social and music features, the W518a Walkman has a 3.2-megapixel camera and gesture control technology that rejects calls or puts alarms on snooze by a hand wave over the camera lens. This phone is lighter on the pocket at $49.99 after a two-year agreement and mail-in rebate.
