LG Application Store launches first in Asia
Mobile Phones, The Net - Monday, July 13th, 2009

LG just launched the beta version of their online application store. The company is testing it out first in Asia, but the service will be expanding to 24 countries soon after. Right now, the website says “Asia Pacific” but only shows two countries – Australia and Singapore.
LG plans on releasing around 2000 smartphone programs through the website. All are designed to work with LG smartphones, of course, and at least 100 applications will be offered for free to LG users. Categories include Entertainment, Games, Productivity, Lifestyle and Navigation.
