Right on schedule, the Toshiba TG01 has launched in the UK exclusively through Orange. At the core of it is a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and fronting it is a 4.1-inch W-VGA display – the widest, high-definition touch screen out on a mobile phone.
This very slim, 9.9mm phone packs in HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as GPS that works with Orange Maps. Other features include a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, a micro SDHC slot that can take up to 32GB memory cards (package includes an 8GB microSD card) and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. The TG01 comes free with Orange’s 24-month price plan at £39.15 a month. As a bonus, the unit comes loaded with a film trailer of GI Joe. Here’s Orange’s demo video for your viewing pleasure:
