As promised, the “Can we break it?” blog on the Nokia Conversations site that ran experiments on an upcoming rugged Nokia phone has updated with three new videos. The three new tests show the two dudes swimming in a pool with the phone, dunking it in a pint of beer, and dropping it from two stories onto concrete. The videos show that the phone survived the tests, which means that they’re pretty much failing their objective (to “break it”). We’re starting to have other ideas that might help the experiments move along. If anyone’s interested, our ideas involve a steamroller, a microwave oven, an adult saltwater crocodile (plus a really long stick, a pass from an insurance company, and some duct tape), and permission from the Iranian government to add a phone to their missile testing procedures.
