It’s no secret that we think Mimobots are the shiznit here at TechRockstar, especially when they’re collaborative, art toy-storage mash-ups. The latest to come out of the Mimobot factory are exactly that – manufacturer Mimoco has teamed up once again with toy outfit FriendsWithYou to come up with two, striped and certainly very friendly Mimobots.
Designed by Sam and Tury from FriendsWithYou to add to the already existing FriendsWithYou Mimobot Artist Series, the line consists of two characters – Buddy Chub Rainbow, who, as its name suggests, is covered in colorful stripes, and Mr. Phantom X, which has black and white stripes. These Mimobots will be launched at the Taipei Toy Festival this weekend, but you can go get yours now at the Mimoco site. They’re available in 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and 8GB varieties; price starts from $19.95 for the 1GB model and goes up to $49.95 for the 8GB one. Each Mimobot comes with mimoByte sound software and a desktop personalization suite with avatars, icons and wallpapers inside.
