Samsung has just announced their new “highest performance display” (sic), a super-slim 23-inch LED monitor that’s built with a high-end spec, energy-saving features and designed with the company’s Touch of Color design.
The ToC design incorporates a glossy front bezel and an acrylic neck that—at least according to Samsung—“gives the illusion that the monitor is floating”. It’s also a design that was used on the P2370L monitor launched way back in January, but the newer XL2370 does have a better spec, at the very least with the listed 5000000:1 dynamic contrast ratio as opposed to the P2370L’s 3000000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. It’s not like the average Joe will ever notice the difference between dynamic contrast ratios anyway.

The XL2370 sports a suite of eco-friendly features that’s listed to consume around 40% less power compared to similar-sized displays, plus other “green” production and material-related processes that we’re not going to bore you with.
The display’s spec makes it a pretty interesting option for shoppers looking for a performance monitor, with a full HD panel (1920 x 1080) that’s capable of a 2ms response time: two things that make it ideal for gaming and high-def movie playback.
The XL2370 will be launching in Korea this month and to Europe and other regions in August.
