Maingear offers free copy of Windows 7 on new PCs maingear win7

Custom PC builder Maingear Computers have just announced that they’ll be offering their customers a free copy of Windows 7 after buying any of their custom PCs. This comes in the form of a coupon for a free Win 7 upgrade that can be redeemed when the OS ships later this year.

This should spare new PC buyers from having to think about getting an OS upgrade when the newest version of Windows ships in a few months–or have potential buyers wait on the wings while the company continually pumps out new high-end gaming and enthusiast-class systems.

Maingear’s current stock, including the earth-friendly Pulse, the Axess HD Gamer media center system, and the flagship ePhex gaming rig, will ship with Windows Vista, but will also come packaged with a coupon for getting a free copy of Windows 7 when it gets released on October 22nd.
