Sony Vaio gets affordable with the NW

Sony Vaios have always been on the higher end of the price spectrum, which is why the latest Vaio, the NW, comes as a surprise. The starting price for the entire HD-enabled notebook line-up is only $800.
Specs include up to a 2.10GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB RAM, up to 400GB hard drive, Windows Vista Home Premium, and HDMI-out. The NW has a 15.5-inch widescreen display, and weighs 6 pounds. Dedicated ATI graphics with up to 512MB VRAM is offered as an option. There’s also a model with a Blu-ray disc drive which will cost a bit more at $880. The NW will be out this June.
