
HP just churned out three thin and light notebooks – the dv2z, dv3t and dv6t. All come in Espresso Black and Moonlight White models.
The Pavilion dv2z is less than an inch thin and weighs just around 3.81 pounds. It’s got a 12.1-inch diagonal LED widescreen display, hard drive storage of up to 500GB and optional Blu-ray disc support. Connectivity options consist of Bluetooth, Wireless G, optional Wireless N and optional mobile broadband. This notebook runs on an AMD Athlon Neo mobile processor made for ultra-thin notebooks, but HP also offers an AMD Athlon Neo X2 Dual Core processor as an option. Price starts at $599.
The 13.3-inch Pavilion dv3t weighs a few notches shy of 5 pounds and is only about 1.25 inches thick. Specs consist of Intel Core 2 Duo processors, up to 500GB SATA hard drives, 2GB to 8GB DDR2 memory. You get Bluetooth, Wireless G, optional Wireless N and optional mobile broadband for connectivity and HP MediaSmart software, an HDMI 1.3b port and an optional Blu-ray drive for entertainment. An optional 512MB Nvidia GeForce G 105M dedicated graphics processing unit with PureVideo is also offered for Full HD and Blu-ray media. Starting unit price is $649.
The Pavilion dv6t is an entertainment notebook that comes with HP’s MediaSmart software. Its 16-inch diagonal display has a 16:9 ratio for high definition content, and is built with an HDMI 1.3 port. Optional media features include a built-in TV tuner and a Blu-ray drive. This notebook is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB to 8GB of DDR2 memory, and a SATA hard drive with up to 500GB storage. You also get to choose between a 512MB or 1GB ATI discrete graphics card. Unit price begins at $649.
