Zune HD slated for a fall release

Microsoft has announced the new Zune HD, set to arrive in the US in the fall. This latest Zune iteration now has a 3.3-inch OLED touch screen with a 480 x 272 resolution and 16:9 widescreen format display.
The Zune has always been Wi-Fi-enabled, but the Zune HD is making more use of that with its full-screen Internet browser with multitouch functions. Of course the Wi-Fi connectivity also lets users stream directly from the Zune online music store. The Zune is built with an HD Radio receiver for high-quality audio. It also offers 720p HD output straight to an HDTV through an optional HDMI docking station. There are no details yet with regards to pricing, storage capacities and specifics on the touchscreen interface however.
Microsoft has also revamped the Zune service, which will now partner up with the Xbox LIVE Video Marketplace. This brings TV and film content (thought not music yet) to the Xbox LIVE platform.
