Solid State Disk manufacturer Silicon Power has introduced a new portable storage drive that offers the convenience of a USB flash drive, the performance of the eSATA interface, and the multi-gigabyte capacity of SSD.
The eSATA/USB SSD II Portable Drive follows the success of its predecessor with a dual interface, in the form of retractable USB and eSATA connectors that slide out from both ends of the 76.4mm-long device. The USB interface gives it all-around adaptability, while the eSATA interface offers fast read and write speeds of up to 90MB/Sec and 50MB/Sec when connected to newer systems that support the interface.
The internal storage comes in the form of a solid state drive with a high-speed controller, giving it performance as well as stability with the format’s shock and vibration-resistance. The eSATA/USB SSD II Portable Drive is available in 32 and 64GB capacities, and is built with Error Correction Code and Wear Leveling tech for stability and longevity.
