
HP has updated its netbook line with the Mini 110 Series, which consist of the HP Mini 110 XP Edition, the HP Mini 110 Mobile Internet (Mi) Edition, and the HP Mini 1101. The new Minis come in a slew of colors and designs, as well as spec options.
The Minis weigh only about 2.33 pounds and are only around over an inch thick. All the models have 10.1-inch-diagonal LCDs, with a choice between standard resolution and high definition screens. All are powered by either an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz or N280 1.66GHz processor.
The Mini 110 XP Edition takes up to 1GB of memory, and comes with either a 32GB solid state drive or a 160GB hard drive. Options available are WWAN and a Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator for 1080p high-definition content, which will be available in July. The Mini 110 Mi Edition runs Linux and offers up to 2GB of memory and a 250GB hard drive. Lastly, the Mini 1101 is available in Windows XP Home, XP Pro and Vista. It gets power from either a three-cell of six-cell battery, and offers optional integrated HP Mobile Broadband.
The Mini 110s will have Black Swirl, Pink Chic and White Swirl shells, while the Mini 1101 will in just Black Swirl. The Black Swirl Mini 110 XP and Mini 110 Mi will be out by June 10, and will have starting price tags of $329.99 and $279.99 respectively. The Pink Chic and White Swirl Mini 110 XP Editions will be out by July 8, but HP doesn’t have the prices pegged yet. The high-gloss black Mini 1101 will be available by June 1, at $329.
