Dell’s education-focused netbook has arrived. Made specifically for students, the Latitude 2100 has a rugged, rubberized design to withstand the rigors of the schoolyard. It comes in school-themed colors even – School Bus Gold, Chalkboard Black, Ball Field Green, Blue Ribbon and Schoolhouse Red.

Dell’s Latitude 2100 netbook for schools is out   delllatitude2100openUnder the hood, the Latitude 2100 is powered by an Intel Atom N270 processor, 512MB to 1GB memory, a 16GB solid state drive or 80 to 250GB hard drive. It’s got 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, a three-in-one media card reader, and 10.1-inch display, with an option to turn it into a touchscreen. Since it’s a Dell, the Latitude 2100 has a long options list, which includes an external USB 8x DVD+/-RW drive, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, a webcam, and an antimicrobial keyboard. The netbook is already available, with a starting price of $369.
