MSI’s followup to their initial 13-inch X-Slims includes two new models, the 14-inch X400 and the 15.6-inch X600. Viewed as PC-based rivals to the MacBook Air’s slim notebook niche, the X400 and X600 fills out a niche for people who need a larger screen without the bulk.

Few details are available from MSI’s announcement, but both X-Slim notebooks live up to their name by measuring less than an inch thick. They’re pretty light for their screen sizes too, tipping the scales at 3.3 pounds for the X400 and 4.6 pounds for the X600. Both are said to run on Intel’s low-power CULV processor.

Both X-Slims will also feature LED-backlit 16:9 widescreens with at least a 1366×768 resolution and integrated video via Intel’s GMA 4500 GPU. More details should pop out when Computex rolls around next month.
