Graphics card manufacturer Galaxy has recently released its second take on a graphics card based on Nvidia’s mainstream GeForce GTS 250 GPU. The new GTS250 is given a 5-phase power supply for stability, and a new cooling chamber that’s listed to cool it down up to 5 degrees lower than the reference design.
These new improvements give the new design a higher overclocking ceiling, which is something of a boon for gamers who are looking to squeeze a little bit more power from this mid-range card.
The GTS250 also features Dual BIOS, a PWM fan that automatically sets the fan speed, built-in HDMI output, and faster 0.8ns GDDR3 memory that can handle higher clock speeds.
Galaxy’s internal tests boast of a 7% increase with the higher OC ceiling, pushing the core, shader and memory clocks up from the default 738MHz/1836MHz/2200MHz settings.
