MSI launches Syren Series audio products line
MSI has released a computer audio package named the Syren Series. Geared mainly towards gamers, the new line is launching with three products – the SyrenSound X-Fi PCI-e sound card, the SyrenPhone Gaming USB headphone and the SyrenSpeaker Mini-Q USB speaker.
The SyrenSound X-Fi PCI Express sound card (shown above) uses a Creative Audio Processor CA0110, which does accelerated audio for games. X-Fi Xtreme Audio technology restores compressed sound to its original form, while EAX Advanced HD 4.0 provides environmental surround sound. It supports 8-channel and SPDIF audio output also.
The SyrenPhone gaming USB headphone has a gold-plated USB connector and a high purity Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC) cable to prevent sound distortion. It features an adjustable head and in-line volume control. Its uni-directional microphone also reduces noise up to 100Hz.
The SyrenSpeaker Mini-Q is your run-of-the-mill speaker with a Digital Class D amplifier for clear sound. Its small, cubed form factor makes it easy to tote around, and it hooks up to your computer directly via USB.
