Kingston unveils XMP-ready HyperX DDR3 memory kits for notebooks

Kingston has just announced their first XMP-ready DDR3 kits for notebooks under the company’s performance-tuned HyperX series. Designed to run on notebooks that run on Intel’s Cantiga mobile chipset, Intel’s XMP technology simplifies memory overclocking by providing preset memory profiles for low latency or high frequency. The HyperX DDR3 XMP SO-DIMM modules have a fast, 1066MHz frequency for high-end notebooks and come pre-programmed with both JEDEC and XMP profiles.
The new DDR3 SO-DIMM kits run on ultra low-latency timings of CL5-5-5-15 at 1.5 Volts. Shipping now, the 4GB package will include a pair of 2GB modules.
