It’s now official: Samsung will be releasing their first Android-powered phone soon. Labeled the Samsung I7500, the mobile sports a 3.2-inch AMOLED screen with an HVGA (320×480) resolution, and will run on version 1.5 of Google’s Android OS.
The I7500 is also listed to be pretty well-connected, with Wi-fi, GPS, HSDPA and HSUPA connectivity. It will also sport a 5-megapixel main cam with autofocus and an 8GB internal storage. A microSD card slot will be on hand for memory expansion. The rest of the phone’s features include a document viewer for MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files, as well as Google’s suite of mobile apps that include Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, and GoogleTalk.
It’s set to be released in Europe, but the price hasn’t been announced just yet.
