MSI has announced their newest system for their highly successful “Wind” brand, the Wind Top AE1900. Built with a mono-body that integrates the entire system into the display panel, MSI aims to give users a premium entertainment and communications PC without having to set up a complicated system.
The AE1900 is a complete home computing solution featuring touch-sensitive PC navigation, a true 16:9 widescreen 18.5-inch screen, SRS Premium Sound and a sleek modern design that includes a slim profile and a glass frame around the widescreen panel. Users can get around with the help of MSI’s Wind Touch interface that supports finger gestures and handwriting with a stylus.
The system runs on an Intel Atom 230 processor and 1GB of DDR2 RAM, and fits a 160GB SATA hard drive, DVD writer, and Gigabit Ethernet into the monobody chassis, which should be enough for internet and multimedia purposes while keeping energy costs down (the whole setup runs on less than 50 Watts of power).
The Wind Top AE1900 will ship with a matching mouse and keyboard and a Windows XP Home operating system. Prices start at $529.
