Transcend Information Inc. has announced the StoreJet 25M-R, a new portable hard drive that can withstand the shakes and bumps of the road. A stylish compact drive that holds a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive and a USB 2.0 interface, the StoreJet 25M-R features dual-stage shock protection that incorporates a rugged hard drive case and a silicone outer shell that absorbs vibrations.

The drive also sports a OneTouch auto-backup button and free StoreJet data management software for automized backups and disk maintenance. Available in 250GB, 320GB, and 500GB capacities, the StoreJet 25M-R comes with a two-year warranty and retails for $85-151 before taxes.
