Asus P Series integrates Intel Anti Theft tech Asus%20P series

Asus has announced plans to equip their P-Series notebooks with Intel’s Anti-Theft technology to avoid sensitive information from being opened in the event that the notebook is lost or stolen. The anti-theft tech comes in the form of an Intel security chip that tracks the stolen notebook remotely. This allows the owner to send a signal to completely disable the device remotely and then restore the system when the notebook is recovered.

The P-Series notebooks will also feature an Ai Pre-boot Finger Login that requires a fingerprint scan before the system boots up, and the AI Secure Delete feature that lets the user delete any sensitive data without any chance of retrieval.

The Anti-Theft technology will be built into the P30 and P80 models. The P80 is a 14-inch business notebook that runs on a 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and up to 4GB DDR2 800 memory. It also sports an Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS graphics processor, a SATA hard drive (up to 320GB), a DVD super Multi drive, and Bluetooth, Wi-fi and WiMAX connectivity. The P30 sports a 13.3-inch screen and runs on Intel’s power-efficient CULV processors.

Both the P30 and P80 are available now.
