AT&T is expected to land a couple of touchscreen phones with slide-out QWERTY keyboards soon. LG’s Xenon is a quad-band 3G-enabled mobile that sports a 2.8-inch touchscreen and a wide slide-out QWERTY keypad, while the LG Neon is a bit more compact with a smaller screen and an EDGE connection for entry-level mobile plans.
The LG Xenon’s full spec includes Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, and HSDPA network support, and a 2MP main cam with flash that supports Geo-tagging. Expected to be released within the week, the quad-band Xenon will be offered with AT&T’s $100 2-year contract.
The cheaper LG Neon is a bit watered down to allow the carrier to offer it on lower-priced plans. It sports a 2.4-inch screen, tri-band network support, and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, a 2MP main cam, an FM radio and multimedia playback. The Neon is expected to be available within the month.
