Dell is on a roll with the release of the Vostro 1320, 1520 and 1720 laptops. Targeted towards small businesses, these models are now energy-efficient and offer a slew of security solutions. All three units have fingerprint readers, spill-resistant keyboards, magnesium alloy reinforced bases, and solid state or free fall sensor hard drives – all meant to protect your data. Other Dell security services include Certified Data Destruction, ProSupport Hard Drive Data Recovery, Laptop Tracking and Recovery, DataSafe Online Backup and Remote Data Delete.

The Vostro 1320 (pictured above) is the compact, lightweight model, with its 13.3-inch display and 1.86 kilogram weight. It runs on an Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 processor or lower and can take up to 8GB of DDR2 SDRAM, a Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500MHD or a 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS Graphic Card, and up to 128GB of storage for a solid state drive, 250GB for a free fall sensor drive, or 160GB for a standard hard drive. The base package can be had for $679.

The Vostro 1520’s base package specs are the same as the Vostro 1320’s – the difference comes in their sizes. The Vostro 1520 is the group’s mid-sized model with its 15.4-inch display. It is also the lowest-priced of the bunch at $619.
