Philips brings three new GoGear porta players to the US Philips GoGear VIBE 01

Philips has announced that they’ll be bringing three new portable media players to the US market. Previously launched in Europe, the GoGear Aria and GoGear Opus will be pushed into the US shores by April, along with an affordable new media player called the GoGear ViBE.

The GoGear ViBE is a compact player that sports a 1.5-inch screen and a pretty hardy battery that’s listed to give you 25 hours for music playback and four hours of video. It supports Audible and Rhapsody services, an FM radio that can hold 20 station presets, and a voice recorder feature for taking down notes and reminders. Available in Black and White, the ViBE will be available this April for $49.99 (4GB) and $59.99 for the 8GB model.

The GoGear Opus gives off a better multimedia experience with a larger 2.8-inch screen for watching WMV videos and Philips’ FullSound technology that enhances the otherwise dull audio quality of ripped MP3, FLAC and AAC audio. The package comes with a pair of sound-isolating in-ears to further improve the sound, and it also supports subscriptions to Audible and Rhapsody’s services. The 8GB Opus sells for $99.99.

The GoGear Aria (also known as the “Ariaz” in Europe) has a feature set similar to the Opus, but with a smaller 2-inch screen and a different jog-dial control interface beside the screen. The Aria also comes with Philips’ FulSound technology, and support for Audible and Rhapsody subscriptions. The Aria’s package ships with sound isolating in-ears and is available in 8GB and 16GB models for $79.99 and $99.99 respectively.
