Nintendo Wii Menu update adds support for SDHC wii%20SDHC

Nintendo has recently offered a new update for the company’s Wii console that enhances the console’s storage options. The Wii Menu 4.0 update will now allow the SD card slot to accept SDHC cards up to 32GB—a significant improvement over the old SD card slot’s 2GB ceiling. Wii Menu 4.0 will now also allow users to download content from the Wii shop channel directly to an SD or SDHC card and run them from the card slot using the SD Card Menu. Downloadable content includes WiiWare titles, Virtual Console Games and additional Wii Channels.

The Wii Menu 4.0 update will also include a new Move command that allows users to transfer data between the console and connected SD/SDHC cards. Check out Nintendo’s support page for more info on how to update the firmware, and tips on how to use the new features.
