The Sony Ericsson T707 unveiled SonyEricssonT707

Sony Ericsson has unveiled the latest addition to their stable of mobile phones, the lustrous and multimedia-friendly T707. And to complement its uber classy sleekness, the company also welcomes tennis star and class icon Maria Sharapova aboard its marketing trails.

Up front, this clamshell handset comes enclosed in a svelte 95g body sheathed under a glossy finish that comes in three flavors; Mysterious Black, Spring Rose and Lucid Blue. It has two scratch resistant screens; a 1.1-inch monochromatic OLED display on the outside and a colored TFT LCD 2.2-incher upon propping the phone open. Along with these you also get a multimedia player, FM radio tuner, stereo Bluetooth, personal organizer and a 3.2megapixel cam with matching 3.2x digital zoom for recording videos and taking still shots, among other midrange goodies. Also, since this is a quad-band GSM and tri-band UMTS model, it supports calling and 3G networks worldwide.

Sony Ericsson has also equipped it with their own brand of motion sensor right in front of the unit which allows you to make different finger gestures to control some features – from rejecting calls to enabling the snooze feature on the alarm.

The Sony Ericsson T707 is expected to be available during the second quarter of the year, no further word on the pricing though.
