Bang & Olufsen has announced that the company will be coming out with a 103-inch plasma TV this summer. Falling under B&O’s BeoVision 4 line of high-end plasma sets, the BeoVision 4-103 features the line’s audio and video technologies, including Automatic Colour Management system that comes with a built-in camera that checks for the plasma screen’s picture degredation every 120 hours of use. The built-in tech then adjusts the color balance accordingly to give users an optimized picture.
B&O’s BeoSystem 3 stage manager and VisionClear technology also helps optimize the screen brightness and colors, while Automatic Picture Control senses ambient light and adjusts the light output from the screen accordingly.
Weighing 1,100 pounds, the BeoVision 4-103 sports a motorized stand that raises the screen to reveal a center channel speaker (B&O’s high-quality triangular BeoLab 10 speaker unit) and motorized hinges that users can enable to tilt and swivel the screen via the set’s remote control.
The Beovision 4-103 is now available through pre-orders in Europe with prices set at $137,000, and is packaged with B&O’s $5,377 BeoSound speaker kit and a touchscreen remote.
