MSI unveils GT725 with high end gaming graphics MSI%20GT725

MSI has introduced another gaming laptop, the GT725, featuring a lot of pixel-pushing power under the hood with ATI’s new Radeon HD GPU. This 17-incher packs a pretty mean spec, running on a 45nm Intel Core 2 Duo T8600 (2.4GHz, 1066 MHz FSB) processor and 2GBs of DDR2 RAM. It’s headlined by ATI’s Radeon HD 4850 GPU with 512MB GDDR3, giving it more than the usual amount of 3D muscle for serious gaming.

To squeeze out even more performance, MSI also added their Turbo Drive Engine technology, which basically overclocks the system instantly by pushing a marked button above the keyboard.

MSI rounds out the package with a fast 320GB, 7200rpm SATA hard drive, a Super Multi optical disk drive, 2-megapixel webcam, wireless 802.11 b/g/n connectiviy, and an HDMI port for connecting an external display. For better-than-average audio, the GT725 also comes with four integrated Dolby-quality speakers and a tiny “subwoofer”.

A 9-cell Lithium-Ion battery comes standard with the package to give the heavy spec enough juice (although we’re not sure how long before it quits), and comes with a gaming backpack to match.

The MSI GT725-074US gaming laptop sells for $1449.99.
